Maverick Stampede is April 17 at Chili Greens

Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Alliance of Fitness Professionals, along with the Omaha Running Club, will host the 13th annual Maverick Stampede. The event will be held Sunday, April 17, at 9 a.m. at Chili Greens, 6808 Spring St.

The Maverick Stampede is a 4K/8K walk/run along with a "fun run" for participants age 12 and under.

Registration for UNO students is $20; general public is $30 if registered before race day; and $30/$40 registration fee, respectively, on race day. The "fun run" is $12.

Participants will receve a free T-shirt if they register before the race. Awards and medals, along with door prizes, will be given after the race at a special ceremony.

Sponsors include: Schnackel Engineers, Makovicka Physical Therapy, The Grove Salon, 24 Hour Fitness, Hy-Vee, Old Chicago, Peak Performance and the Omaha Running Club.
