April 9 Dodgeball Tournament to Support Alzheimer's Research

Omaha - Sigma Kappa sorority at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will host the second annual Sigma Kappa Dodgeball Tournament to raise money for Alzheimer’s research.

The tournament will be held at UNO at noon on Saturday, April 9.

Teams will consist of six to eight players, and each game will last 20 minutes. Games will be held on UNO’s campus in the newly renovated Health, Physical Education and Recreation Building and at the Pep Bowl, just south of the Eppley Administration Building.

Teams must have two women on the court during play time. The tournament will be played bracket style and result in champions.

Sponsors of the event include: Bonefish Grill, Best Buy, Hector’s Mexican Restaurant, Creative Hair Design, Tan Company and many others. A raffle will be held for gift cards from businesses around Omaha.

Registration for each team is $5 per player. Sigma Kappa hopes to raise $500 for Alzheimer’s research.
