Maverick Productions Welcomes Jason Derulo April 6

Omaha - University of Nebraska at Omaha’s Maverick Productions will welcome Jason Derulo to the Omaha Music Hall, 1804 Capitol Ave., at 7 p.m. Wednesday, April 6.

UNO student ticket pre-sale ($12) begins Monday, Feb. 7 at the Milo Bail Student Center Business Office, located on the second floor. With one valid UNO ID, students can purchase two tickets. Public tickets ($27) go on sale Monday, Feb. 14 at Ticketmaster.com and all Ticketmaster outlets.

Singer, songwriter, dancer and actor Jason Derulo belongs to a new breed of multi-hyphenate artists who know no creative boundaries. And as the flagship artist for the joint venture between Warner Bros. Records and producer J.R. Rotem's label Beluga Heights, Derulo has set his sights high.

The Miami-born Derulo has ruled the airwaves for the past year with his three smash hit singles, “Whatcha Say,” “In My Head,” and “Ridin’ Solo,” off his self-titled debut album, Jason Derulo, which debuted at No. 4 on the Digital Albums chart and No. 11 on the Billboard Top 200 Album chart in March.

With the triple-platinum debut single "Whatcha Say" (which spent four consecutive weeks atop the Pop chart), and the platinum second single “In My Head,” the 20-year-old singer, songwriter, dancer and actor became the first male solo artist to score consecutive No. 1’s on Billboard’s Pop Songs radio airplay chart in the chart’s 17-year-history with his first two entries.

Derulo’s third single “Ridin’ Solo,” has been certified platinum in the U.S., while its accompanying video has earned more than 32 million views on YouTube. Derulo has sold more than 11 million singles and 750,000 albums worldwide and is the first male solo artist in history to have three singles hit the Top 10 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart.
