Author Lydia Peelle to Visit UNO
Omaha - The Writer's Workshop at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will host a reading by award-winning fiction writer Lydia Peelle on Wednesday, Oct. 20, at 7:30 p.m., at UNO's Milo Bail Student Center Dodge Room. She will read from her recent collection, Reasons for and Advantages of Breathing.
Peelle's fiction has appeared in Granta, One Story, Orion, Epoch, The Sun and elsewhere. She is the recipient of an O. Henry Prize, two Pushcart Prizes, and her stories have twice appeared in Best New American Voices. A former fellow at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and a graduate of the MFA program at the University of Virginia, she now lives in Nashville, Tenn.
A discussion and book signing will follow the reading. This event is free and open to the public.
