Campus Recreation to Host Open House

Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Campus Recreation will host a week long “open house” to celebrate the completion of the $38.6 million addition and renovation project that began in October 2008. A variety of exciting events will take place Monday, August 30 – Thursday, September 2 in the Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER) Building.

All programming is designed to showcase the new facility and programming of Campus Recreation. Free food and t-shirts will be given out at all events. Building tours will be given every day. Monday, August 30
- Group Exercise Showcase, All Day
- Brown Bag Fitness FAQ, Noon – 1 p.m.
- Free Chair Massages, 6:30 a.m. – 8 a.m. AND 5 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Personal Training Analysis, 11 a.m – 1 p.m. AND 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
- Building Tours, All Day

Wednesday, September 1
- Intramural Sports Fall Fest, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Sport Club Fair, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Injury Prevention & Care Info Table, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.
- Climbing Wall Fall Kick Off, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Building Tours, All Day

Thursday, September 2
- Pool Party, 7 p.m. – 9 p.m.
- Building Tours, All Day
