Financial, Housing and Personal Growth Conference is July 15 in Omaha
Omaha - The second annual Surviving in Today’s Economy conference will be held Thursday, July 15 at the downtown Omaha Hilton, 1001 Cass St.
The conference will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is hosted by Family Housing Advisory Services, Inc. (FHAS) in Omaha.
Van Deeb – UNO alum, Omaha author and real estate guru – will offer the keynote presentation, “The Powerful Personal Vision,” at noon. KETV reporter Adrian Whitsett will serve as event emcee.
Special guest include: Omaha Mayor Jim Suttle; Lt. Gov. Rick Sheehy; and Clifton Jones, Department of Housing and Urban Development.
The day’s events and breakout sessions are designed to raise awareness of finances, foreclosures, dealing with debt, fair housing, small businesses, personal growth and savings strategies.
Breakout sessions are free; the cost for the keynote luncheon presentation is $35, which includes the closing reception.

• Energy Star: New and Existing Home Energy Audits
• Foreclosures and Loss Mitigation
• How to Think, Act and Achieve like an Entrepreneur
Presenters include the following: University of Nebraska at Omaha, Legal Aid of Nebraska, Department of Housing and Urban Development, Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City-Omaha Branch, Omaha Public Power District, Egermier Group Wealth Management, Business Ethics Alliance, Small Business Association of the Midlands, Paul Bryant and Van Deeb.
