Watermelon Fundraiser to Benefit Omaha Food Bank
Omaha - Members of Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will again host the Watermelon Bash fundraiser for the Omaha Food Bank.
The event happens Thursday, April 22 from 4 to 8 p.m. at the UNO Pep Bowl, just north of the Eppley Administration Building.
Students will participate in a number of watermelon-themed events, including: a watermelon decorating contest; a relay race using watermelons; a watermelon toss; a watermelon eating contest; a watermelon barrel race; and watermelon tug of war. In addition to the watermelon activities, groups of students will also construct canned good sculptures at the fireplace lounge on the first floor of the Milo Bail Student Center. All canned goods will be donated to the Omaha Food Bank.
