Students, Alumni Honored at Marketing and Management Banquet
Omaha - The Department of Marketing and Management at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will host its annual honors and awards banquet Thursday, March 25 at the Thompson Alumni Center on the UNO campus.
The following awards will be presented to students and alumni from the department, which is housed in UNO’s College of Business Administration.
Outstanding Marketing Student Award: John K. Treinen
Outstanding Management Student Award: Thomas Wrigley, Jr.
Outstanding Human Resource Management Student Award: Diana M. Lovejoy
Outstanding Entrepreneurship Student Award: Brian J. Steinbruck
Alumni Award for Excellence in Marketing: Robert Goedken
Alumni Award for Excellence in Management: Mohamad Doghman
Goedken is general manager of the Yamaha Electronics Corporation. He earned an Executive MBA from UNO in 2000. At Yamaha, Goedken oversees sales, marketing and finance for the company.
Doghman serves as vice president of transmission and distribution engineering for the Omaha Public Power District. In 2007 he graduated from UNO with an Executive MBA. Doghman serves on the Midwest Energy Association steering committee, the Heartland Latino Leadership corporate advisory board and the University of Nebraska electrical engineering steering committee.
Two College of Business Administration professors will also be honored with the Distinguished Marketing and Management Adjunct Professors Award and the Distinguished Marketing and Management Professor Award, respectively.
“We are one of the largest departments in the university, and are incredibly proud of our graduating honorees,” said Phani Tej Adidam, chair of the Department of Marketing and Management at UNO. “Our alumni are leaders in the field of marketing and management in several large, medium and small enterprises across the globe. Bob Goedken and Mo Doghman are two of our distinguished alumni who have achieved a lot in the corporate environment, and both credit a large part of their achievements to the education received in our department.”
