International Culture Fair Set for March 3-4; Banquet Takes Place March 6
Omaha - Univeristy of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) International Student Services (ISS), a Student Government agency, will hold its culture fair Wednesday and Thursday, March 3-4, on campus.
Both days, international students will share artifacts and information about their countries of origin from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the International Culture Fair in the Milo Bail Student Center (MBSC) Nebraska Room. The event is free, and all are welcome to attend.
The 38th annual International Banquet will take place Saturday, March 6, starting at 6 p.m. in the MBSC Ballroom. A dance will follow the banquet until midnight. Formal attire is expected. The banquet theme is "World Peace" and will feature international cuisine and performances from countries represented on campus.
Tickets are now on sale in the MBSC Business Office and cost $10 for UNO students, $12 for children under age eight and are $25 for the public. The event sells out each year, so those planning to attend should purchase their tickets early. For more information, contact Joy (Hyun-Ji) Lee at 554.2937.
