UNO Student Earns $10,000 Aviation Scholarship
Omaha - The International Society of Transport Aircraft Trading (ISTAT) Foundation has recognized the work of a University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Aviation Institute student with a $10,000 scholarship.
Sabina Shrestha is a senior majoring in air transport administration. Shrestha, who will graduate in May 2011, is an international student from Kathmandu, Nepal. Upon graduation from UNO, Shrestha intends to look for a job with an airport or pursue a master’s degree in public administration.
Since 1999, the ISTAT Foundation has given hundreds of thousands of dollars in scholarships to aviation students around the globe. “We could not be more proud of Sabina’s accomplishments and the generous scholarship provided by the ISTAT Foundation,” said Scott Tarry, director of UNO’s Aviation Institute. “Sabina, like many of our students in the Aviation Institute, represents the next generation of leaders in aviation and transportation, not only here in the United States, but around the world.”
