Works by Art Students in Online Exhibition Through Jan. 1

Omaha - The creative works of 16 University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) art students will be featured and sold in an online exhibition Nov. 27 through Jan. 1. Works include T-shirts, messenger bags, children’s clothing, journals and coffee cups, to name a few.

The students are enrolled in Jody Boyer’s Digital Media Production class this semester. Boyer is an instructor in the Department of Art and Art History at UNO.

“This is an art and entrepreneurial project that merges digital media, do-it-yourself culture and small business development,” Boyer said.

The students’ works can be viewed and purchased at www.art3000presents.com starting Wednesday, Nov. 25.

The 16 UNO students are: Sandra Bruckner, Melanie Costello, Tessa Edwards, Natalie Gingerich, Mark Gutierrez, Dan Lenser, Tim Maides, Jennifer Mason, Elizabeth Miller, Matt Noble, Colleen O’Neill, Jacob Panowski, Amanda Sheridan, Adam Stines, Nicole Wiemer and Heather Wolf.

The students also created different works that are on display on the Criss Library's digital signs through Friday, Dec. 18.

The core values of the institution place students at the center of all that the university does; call for the campus to strive for academic excellence; and promote community engagement that transforms and improves urban, regional, national and global life. UNO, inaugurated in 1968, emerged from the Municipal University of Omaha, established in 1931, which grew out of the University of Omaha founded in 1908.
