UNO Young Alumni to Host Family Holiday Party at the Zoo
Omaha - Looking for a family outing this holiday season? Join the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Young Alumni for its second annual family holiday party Friday, Dec. 11, at the Omaha Henry Doorly Zoo, 3701 S. 10th St. A zoo membership is not required to attend, but tickets must be purchased in advance.
"Christmas at the zoo is three family activities in one: dinner, holiday crafts and a picture with Santa," said Ryan Nelson, chairperson for the Young Alumni. "We have had an excellent response from the community with this event and have used the feedback we received to make it even better. We look forward to meeting you and your family."
The 6 p.m. event will feature a dinner catered by Valentino's in the Treetop Restaurant overlooking the Lied Jungle; crafts and goodies for children; and photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Tickets cost $15 for adults, $5 for children age three to 10, and are free for children age two and under.
To register, download a form at http://www.unomaha.edu/enotes/2009/img/zoonight09.pdf. Tickets will be mailed upon receipt of payment. The deadline is Friday, Dec. 4. For more information, contact Elizabeth Kraemer at 402.554.4802 or email@example.com.
The group's mission is to create opportunities for young alumni to reconnect with UNO through the Alumni Association and to develop supportive alumni for life by encouraging young alumni involvement in programs and with the UNO Annual Fund.
