Fourth Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance Search Candidate to Visit UNO Feb. 27-28

Omaha - Andrew Soll, vice chancellor for Business and Student Services at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, will visit the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) and be interviewed for the position of vice chancellor for Business and Finance starting on Wednesday, Feb. 27. Soll is one of four finalists.

Faculty, staff, students and the public can attend any of the following open session events during his two-day campus visit. The days, times, sponsoring organizations and locations are:

* Wednesday, Feb. 27, 3 p.m. -- Faculty Senate hosts meeting in the Milo Bail Student Center Chancellor’s Room;

* Wednesday, Feb. 27, 5 p.m. -- Student Leadership hosts meeting in the MBSC Council Room; and

* Thursday, Feb. 28, 9:45 a.m. -- Staff Advisory Council hosts meeting in the MBSC Chancellor’s Room.

The three other finalists are Bill Conley, managing director of Flatwater Ventures, LLC; Tom Johnson, vice president of Finance and Operations at Iowa Western Community College in Council Bluffs, Iowa; and John Patterson, vice president for Administration and Campus Life at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan. Conley and Johnson completed their campus visits earlier this month. Patterson's visit started Feb. 25 and will be completed Feb. 26.

Soll has been in his position with Wisconsin-Eau Claire since 1999. Prior to arriving at the university, he served as the vice president for Administration and Finance at Wayne State College, Wayne, Neb., from 1988 through 1999. He received a bachelor’s degree in music from Oberlin College. He has two master’s degrees from the University of Illinois—one in music, the other in business administration.
