First Vice Chancellor for Business and Finance Search Candidate to Visit UNO Feb. 13-14
Omaha - Bill Conley, managing director of Flatwater Ventures, LLC, will visit the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) and be interviewed for the position of vice chancellor for Business and Finance starting on Wednesday, Feb. 13. Conley is one of four finalists.
Faculty, staff, students and the public can attend any of the following open session events during his two-day campus visit. The days, times, sponsoring organizations and locations are:
* Wednesday, Feb. 13, 3:45 p.m. -- Faculty Senate hosts meeting in the Milo Bail Student Center (MBSC) Dodge Room;
* Wednesday, Feb. 13, 5 p.m. -- Student Leadership hosts meeting in the MBSC Jenkins Room; and
* Thursday, Feb. 14, 9 a.m. -- Staff Advisory Council hosts meeting in the MBSC State Room.
The three other finalists are Thomas Johnson, vice president of Finance and Operations at Iowa Western Community College, Council Bluffs, Iowa; John Patterson, vice president for Administration and Campus Life at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan.; and Andrew Soll, vice chancellor for Business and Student Services at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Clare. Johnson comes to UNO on Wednesday and Thurday, Feb. 20-21; Patterson on Monday and Tuesday, Feb.25-26; and Soll on Wednesday and Thursday, Feb. 27-28.
Conley has been the managing director of Flatwater Ventures since 2007. Prior to that position, he had worked at the Omaha World-Herald Company in various executive posts starting in 1990. Most recently he served as vice president-director of Administrative Services and president of World Investments, Inc. as well as a member of the Omaha World-Herald Company board of directors. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration in 1984 from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln and earned his master’s in business administration from UNO in 1992.
