Annual Diversity Week Jan. 28-31 at UNO

Omaha - Faculty, staff and students at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will have an opportunity to learn about cultures other than their own Monday, Jan. 28, through Thursday, Jan. 31, during 2008 Diversity Week.

The sixth annual event -- coordinated by the American Multicultural Student Agency (AMS), a Student Government agency, and Student Organizations and Leadership Programs (SOLP) -- will feature a variety of multiethnic artistic presentations and performances. Free food will be served at all events.

The public is invited to attend the events, which will be held in the Milo Bail Student Center (MBSC). All activities are free. The schedule is listed below.

- Monday, Jan. 28
Native American Hoop Dancing by Reuben Vendejas; Honor Indians Institute by Ed Vendejas; and Native American Flute by Michael Murphy.
11 a.m. to 1 p.m.

- Tuesday, Jan. 29
“Nuff Crisis” (Reggae Band)
11 a.m. to 1 p .m.

- Wedneday, Jan, 30
Film screening of “White Lies, Black Sheep” and discussion with Director James Spooner.
