OAA Snip Show Set for Dec. 1
Omaha - The Organization for the Advancement of the Arts (OAA) will present “The Snip Show,” its 10th annual non-juried student art exhibition, Saturday, Dec. 1, at the Bemis Underground. The one-night only event runs from 7 p.m. to midnight.
The OAA is an entirely student-run organization at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO). For the past 10 years, it has sponsored an open-entry student show in the Omaha community to give young artists an opportunity to exhibit their work in a professional environment.
“The Snip Show,” in addition to focusing attention on local studio art students, will feature poetry readings by UNO’s Writer’s Workshop students and live music by Lindsay Donovan, Alessi, Thunderpower!!! and Baby Walrus.
The Bemis Underground, located at 12th and Leavenworth, is handicapped accessible, free and open to the public. For more information, e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org or go to the show Web site at http://www.unomaha.edu/oaa/snip.
