UNO Bands to Perform Prevailing Winds Concert Dec. 14
Omaha -The December winds may be blowing cold and gusty outside, but they will be warmer in the Strauss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall when the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) bands present the annual Prevailing Winds concert Friday, Dec. 14, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will be available for purchase at the door.
Roger's arrangement of "Carmen Fantasy," Fisher Tull's "The Final Covenant," Sammy Nestico's "Magic Flea" and Gordon Goodwin's "Hunting Wabbits" are some of the works that will be featured in the program. The concert is the culmination of the fall semester's work for the UNO Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Jazz I, Jazz II and University Concert Band. UNO faculty members James Saker, Janet McCaskill, Peter Madsen and Barry Ford will conduct the concert.
Tickets for the Dec. 14 performance are $4 for adults, $3 for students and seniors, and free to those who present a UNO MavCard.
