UNO English Professor to Read Poetry at Sheldon Art Gallery

Omaha - University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) Professor Mike Skau will read some of his poetry at an event at the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery in Lincoln on Friday, Sept. 21, at 6:30 p.m.  The event is free and open to the public.

The reading is a promotional event for Nebraska Presence, an anthology of Nebraska poets, soon to be published by The Backwaters Press.  Five other poets--Fred Zydek, Twyla Hansen, Lucy Adkins, Roy Scheele and Sarah McKinstry-Brown--will also take part in the reading.  The Sheldon is located at 12th and R streets on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln campus.

Skau, in addition to his teaching and research work in the UNO English Deparment, has published short stories, a chapbook of poetry (Me and God, available from bradypress) and more than 80 poems in magazines.
