UNO Philosophy Lecture to Feature Diane Jeske
Omaha - Diane Jeske, an associate professor at the University of Iowa, will speak at
the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) on Friday, Oct. 20. Her presentation is titled "The
Unnatural Obsession with Naturalism in Ethics."
Jeske's published work in ethics addresses topics such as the grounds of special obligations to intimates, the nature of friendship and utilitarianism versus deontology. Her current teaching and research interests also include political philosophy, philosophy of law, personal identity, and feminist ethics.
The presentation will be held in
210 Arts and Sciences Hall. The
event is free and open to the public.
