UNO PRSSA Chapter Selected for National Conference
Omaha - The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) chapter of the Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) has been selected to attend the National PRSSA Conference in Salt Lake City Nov. 10-14.
Representatives from the UNO chapter and six universities across the country will participate in a national conference panel on how to run a chapter. The development session will focus on building partnerships within the college and community.
Those attending the conference from the UNO chapter include Jackie Normington, project leader; Jasmyn LeFlore, chapter president; Jenny Caveye, vice president of operations; Alex May, Habitat media relations director; and Stacy Seier, Omaha Food Bank project co-leader.
“The School of Communication is proud that our PRSSA chapter is a national leader,” said Jeremy Lipschultz, director and the Reilly Diamond Alumni Professor in the UNO School of Communication. “Quite simply, our public relations/advertising degree is awarded in one of the top national programs.”
Other institutions with chapters participating in the conference include Elon University, Florida A&M University, Ohio Northern University, Southern Illinois University, University of Alabama at Birmingham, University of Florida, West Virginia State University, University of South Florida (first alternate) and the University of Northern Iowa (second alternate).
