Rhoades Named Outreach Associate for Neighborhood Center

Omaha - The Neighborhood Center for Greater Omaha (NCGO) has a new ally in its efforts to strengthen metro area neighborhoods.

Crystal Rhoades has been hired as the center's outreach associate. She began her new duties May 8. As outreach associate, Rhoades will be responsible for helping expand the NCGO's outreach activities, coordinating its education programs, and expanding its participation on various boards and committees.

An Omaha native and 1996 graduate of Central High School, Rhoades received bachelor's degrees in political science and psychology at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) in 2004. She is currently pursuing a master's degree in urban studies and political science at UNO.

"I'm pleased to have Crystal on board at the Neighborhood Center," said Ron Abdouch, executive director of the NCGO. "I know her education and commitment to Omaha and its neighborhoods will have a positive impact on both our community and our center."

Rhoades can be reached at 402.561.7569 or crhoades@mail.unomaha.edu. For more information about the NCGO, visit the Web at http://www.neighborhood-center.org/.
