Resonate Concert Series Continues March 25
Omaha - The Resonate Concert Series at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) continues Friday, March 25, with a recital by percussionist Tomm Roland. The event will begin at 7:30 p.m. in the Strauss Performing Arts Center Recital Hall.
The series serves as a showcase for UNO music faculty and guest artists from a variety of disciplines, said James Saker, chair of the UNO Department of Music.
Roland is the coordinator of percussion studies and multicultural music at UNO. The concert will feature solo percussion works ranging from traditional to avant-garde. He will use a variety of percussion instruments with pieces for marimba, drumset, djembe, grooving cymbals and even flower pots.
Tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students. UNO faculty, staff and students will be admitted free with a current university ID. Seating is non-reserved, and the doors will open 30 minutes prior to each concert.
