Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women to Hold Awards Luncheon on March 11
Omaha - The Chancellor's Commission on the Status of Women (CCSW) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will host its 19th annual awards luncheon Friday, March 11. The event will be held from noon until 1 p.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center (MBSC) Ballroom.
Tickets will be $14 for staff, faculty and the public and $8 for students.
At the luncheon, the CCSW will announce the 2005 winners of the Outstanding Achievement Award, the Community Service Award and the Scholarship Award. The awards recognize individuals and organizations for their outstanding service to women.
A reception for the award recipients will be held prior to the luncheon from 11:30 a.m. until noon in the MBSC Chancellor's Room.
The CCSW serves as an advisory to the chancellor and other university administrators on issues that relate to women faculty, staff and students. The commission's goal is to provide a forum for women at UNO in conjunction with the organization's core themes of A, B, C — Awareness of women's issues, Balance in women's lives, and the Community and women's roles.
