Swearing In Ceremony for UNO Student Leaders Jan. 13
Omaha - The new leaders of student government at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will take the oath of office in an event set for Thursday, Jan. 13.
Elizabeth Kraemer was elected student body president/regent and Lamarr Womble was elected student government vice president in online elections held last fall. The swearing in ceremony will take place at 12:30 p.m. in the Milo Bail Student Center Nebraska Room on the UNO campus.
Donal Burns, associate vice president and provost for the University of Nebraska, will execute the oath of office for Kraemer. Womble will be sworn in by David Jarvis, chief justice of the student court.
Kraemer, a graduate of Omaha Skutt Catholic High School, is a junior in the College of Business Administration with a double major in marketing and management. She has served the UNO student body as a two-term business senator and, simultaneously, as chair of the Student Relations Committee.
Kraemer is an active member of her social sorority, Zeta Tau Alpha. She participates in the Emerging Leaders Program, and is a newly inducted member of Omicron Delta Kappa, the national leadership honor society.
Womble graduated from Bellevue West High School and is a junior studying human resources management with a minor in marketing. He is a resident adviser at Scott Village Residence Hall. In addition to his activities in student government, Womble has served current and prospective students as an orientation leader and Matador. He is an intern at Cox Communications through the UNO INROADS program
An informal reception will be held following the ceremony.
