Omaha - The Organization for the Advancement of the Arts (OAA) at the University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) will host its annual student art show Saturday, Nov. 27.
The event, titled (bl_k), will run from 8 p.m. to midnight at the Bemis Center for Contemporary Arts, 724 South 12th St. Admission is free and open to the public.
The one-night show will encompass the many possibilities of art – from painting, sculpture and photography to video, installation and performance art. "This year we celebrated the seventh anniversary of OAA's student show, and visitors will have an opportunity to see some extraordinary and unique artwork in a fun atmosphere," said Shayla Alarie, OAA president.
In addition to visual arts, the evening will include live music by several local bands, poetry readings, door prizes and refreshments.
