Aja earned her Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and International Studies from the University of Nebraska at Lincoln in 2003. After graduation, she served in the Peace Corps in Uzbekistan from 2004 to 2005, teaching English, Spanish, and Health Education classes to children and adults.
Aja received her Master of Public Health from the University of Nebraska Medical Center in 2012 and is currently a Graduate Assistant at UNMC working on a Ph.D. in Health Promotion and Disease Prevention Research.
Beginning in 2009, Aja has taught various classes for the School of HPER: Healthful Living, Stress Management, Relaxation Techniques, and Health Literacy. Her positive influence is clear in her students’ assessments.
