Explore the Many Ways to Get to Campus
Parking permits for the 2016-2017 academic year are on sale now. If you plan to park on campus, you will need to purchase a parking permit by the first day of classes. No courtesy warnings will be issued. Parking permit fees help build and maintain parking lots and garages and make them safer for the entire university community.
How to Get A Parking Permit
Step One: Order your parking permit online.
Here’s what you’ll need to complete your order:
- Make, model, and color of your vehicle
- License plate number
Step Two: Pick up your parking permit from the Parking Services window. Have your MavCARD or NU ID available. You cannot pick up a parking permit until you have placed an order online.
Those who do not wish to purchase a permit can take advantage of one of the following options:
Permit-free parking
Park in Baxter Arena Lot 26 without a permit and shuttle to campus for free.
MavRIDE
Ride Omaha Metro buses for free with your MavCARD. No special card activation is required. View the Omaha Metro bus route.
UNO Ride Sharing
Want to save money and gas by getting to campus with a fellow Maverick? Parking Services can help you find a carpool match. Fill out the ride matching form on MavSYNC to get started.
