The Chancellor’s Commission on the Status of Women (CCSW) is sponsoring a Change Campaign to raise money for UNO’s employee Emergency Loan Fund.
Drop off your spare change in your team’s designated container during February 1–15, 2016. The department/team that collects the most change by amount will win a cookie party, a visit and photo with Chancellor John Christensen.
The winners for each team will be notified via email; results announced in the Maverick Daily and on the CCSW website after the change campaign ends.
Did you know that as of 2010, UNO has funds for employees that have an unexpected financial hardship? Employees can apply to receive an interest-free loan of up to $750 to be repaid in one year through payroll deduction.
This fund is supported purely through private donations. This program has helped many UNO employees through a difficult time in their lives. By raising additional funds for Emergency Loan Fund, more loans can be available for UNO employees when disaster or hardship strikes.
