The University of Nebraska at Omaha (UNO) and Midwest Regional Collegiate Entrepreneur’s Organization (CEO) are joining forces to bring the Third Annual Midwest Entrepreneurship Conference to Omaha on Friday, April 4, and Saturday, April 5 in celebration of the next generation of world business leaders.
The two-day Midwest Entrepreneurship Conference focuses on entrepreneurs under the age of 30 who have launched businesses during, or shortly after, their college careers.
This year 10 new entrepreneurs will present their ideas and seasoned entrepreneurs will also be on hand to share their experiences and upcoming projects.
This year’s keynote speaker is Mike Schultz, co-president and co-founder of the RAIN Group. Schultz is internationally known as a top sales expert and consultant and was named the global “Top Sales Thought Leader” by Top Sales Awards in 2011.
Schultz is also the author of “Rainmaking Conversations,” which teaches people how to master the art of conversation to increase sales.
The keynote address will focus on how Schultz successfully launched his new venture in a very competitive environment and the attributes required to successfully sell. The Nebraska chapter of the Entrepreneurs Organization (EO) is the sponsor for this year’s keynote.
An expected 300 students and young professionals will attend this year’s conference, which is being held at the KANEKO, 1111 Jones St., a center for creativity located in Omaha’s historic Old Market district.
“This conference is a perfect opportunity for students and young professionals of all backgrounds to learn how they can channel their innovation and creativity to make great things happen,” explains Dale Eesley, director of UNO’s Center for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Franchising.
Additional speakers for this year’s conference span topics including: Athlete endorsements, youth sports programs, pharmaceuticals, personal care products, gaming, music streaming, social media and fitness, just to make a few.
