Dr. E. Paul Rotert - Chief Executive Officer of AAHPERD
Paul holds a Ph. D. in Biomechanics from the University of Connecticut and completed his Bachelors and Masters of Science in physical education at California State University, Fullerton. He has authored four books and numerous chapters and articles related to the fields of health, fitness, sport science and medicine, and strength and conditioning; and has given hundreds of scientific and invited presentations in the U. S. and worldwide. Prior to joining AAHPERD, he served as the Managing Director of Player Development for the United States Tennis Association.

Keith Bakken Wisconsin Association Executive Director
Keith Bakken has served as the Executive Director for Wisconsin Health and Physical Education since 1995. He is a retired Army Ranger whose active duty assignments included teaching physical education at West Point. Later in his career he served as the director of the Army's Master Fitness Trainer course at Ft. Benjamin Harrison, IN. He is one of the authors of the Army's physical training manual (FM 21-20) and the Army's health promotion regulation which led to smoke-free government buildings. His education includes a BS in engineering from the United States Military Academy at West Point and an MS in physical education from the University of Illinois. Today his primary responsibility is to be an advocate for high quality health and physical education programs.
