Nebraska Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance

The mission of NAHPERD is to promote healthy lifestyles through leadership, professional development and advocacy in the areas of health, physical education, recreation and dance.

For over 100 years, NAHPERD has provided quality workshops and conferences to NE professionals engaged in one or more aspects of health, physical education, recreation, dance, nutrition, public health, and exercise science. In addition to conducting professional development programs, NAHPERD provides yearly award programs which recognize professionals in the field for exemplary leadership and programming. NAHPERD also provides professional and student leadership opportunities as well as provides grant opportunities for research and programming to promote wellness and healthy lifestyles. NAHPERD is a state affiliate of the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance.
