What is myMAPP/faculty?

An e-portfolio is an electronic record that provides evidence of achievement. Academic Affairs sponsored the development of myMAPP/faculty which is one in a series of interrelated electronic portfolios. Its purpose is

  • Collection of data
  • Attachment of supporting documents
  • Reflection
  • Creation of data sets
  • Sharing of data sets
  • Giving and receiving feedback on data sets
  • Archiving data sets

MyMAPP/faculty is a web based application supporting four types of activities:

  1. A comprehensive collection of academic and professional activities, practices, achievements as they relate to instruction, research, creative activity and service as well as the University of Nebraska at Omaha strategic plan.
  2. The ability to generate reports/documents using templates. This function is intended to reduce the amount of time faculty spends creating reports that ask for the same information in different formats.
  3. An automated process for self-reflection of current practice with options to document strategies for improvements, record feedback from peers, and create reflections on the impact of the implemented changes.
  4. Assist with the Higher Learning Commission’s AQIP (Academic Quality Improvement Project), path to campus accreditation.
