Message Screen Overview

The Messages screen is the first screen displayed after logging into myMAPP/faculty. This screen allows the owner to track the sharing of myMAPP views. Messages on this screen indicate:

  • Who has received a share
  • When views are archived or forwarded
  • When privileges are changed or removed
  • Who has provided feedback or comments

Messages are listed in reverse order of occurrence with the most recent shares listed first. Messages are retained by the system unless they are deleted by the owner. It is a good idea to remove unnecessary messages periodically so that important messages are easier to locate.

Deleting messages

  1. Use the scroll bar to move through all the entries and locate the message(s) to be deleted.
  2. Check the box (es) next to the message(s).
  3. Choose the Delete Selected option from the drop-down Action Box.
  4. A message is displayed “Do you really want to delete these messages?” (Remember, once a message has been deleted, there is no way to retrieve it.)
  5. Click OK to continue deleting the messages.
  6. A message confirming the deletion is displayed at the top of the screen.
