The New User Interface

Based on faculty feedback, myMAPP has a new interface for 2008 and offers several enhanced features which include:

  • A faster loading Create Entry screen
  • A more sophisticated sort capability
  • An more streamlined way to create a view
  • An Order Entries screen that automatically groups selected entries by Teaching, Research/Creative Activity, and then Service
  • An easier way to order entries within Areas
  • Enhanced search capabilities
  • Improved Help documents

Organization of myMAPP

Because myMAPP/faculty is a database, the owner’s first step is data input. This is accomplished by creating an entry for each individual activity. Once entries are created and saved, they can be manipulated and organized to create reports or “views” that can be saved and/or shared with others who may read, provide feedback, forward or archive them. Tracking the sharing of views and the receipt of feedback is handled through a message process.
