Jim Homan

Instructor of Audio Recording

Jim Homan started working at Rainbow Recording Studio at the age of nineteen. After becoming a house engineer in many of Omaha’s music venues, he started his own studio, “Big Fish.” After a few years he was offered a job at one of Omaha’s top studios, Ware House Productions, where he worked for fourteen years. There he had the privilege of working with Larry the Cable Guy and members of Los Lobos. He also mixed Bon Jovi’s intro video for “The Circle Tour,” and hundreds of music CDs, TV and Radio commercials. He now works as an independent audio engineer, running sound, recording local artists, and teaching a recording class at the University of Nebraska at Omaha.
