University Band

The University Band is a non-auditioned ensemble open to all UNO students, faculty and staff. Under the direction of Dr. Courtney Snyder, who also directs the Marching Mavericks, the 80-90 instrumentalists involved in this group perform a variety of band music. This ensemble is designed to meet the music needs of instrumentalists who wish to continue their band experience. This band performs one concert in December, and two concerts during spring semester. Students interested do not need to audition, but should attend the first rehearsal in order to sign up. University Band begins in November each year after marching band season has ended and meets every Tuesday and Thursday at 8:00 A.M. for the remainder of the fall semester, and the entire spring semester.

We rehearse every Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00am-8:50am in Room 109 of Strauss Performing Arts Center. If you have not registered for the course, contact Dr. Courtney Snyder at cksnyder@unomaha.edu as soon as possible.
