Woodwind Auditions

Requirements (Click on links for copies of excerpts)

Flute/Piccolo
ALL flutes are REQUIRED to play the Flute excerpt marked "All/Band". If you also wish to audition on Piccolo (optional), you must also play the Piccolo excerpt marked "All/Band". For anyone wishing to audition for Orchestra(s), you must play the excerpts marked "Orchestra." Please follow all instructions marked on the excerpts.

Clarinet
All Auditions: Chromatic Scale full range and all major key signature scales
Please follow instructions written on excerpts.

Bass Clarinet
All Major Scales and Chromatic Scale
Learn entire bass clarinet excerpt.

Oboe/English Horn
Please follow instructions written on excerpts.

Bassoon
All Auditions:
Play all excerpts as marked.

Saxophone
Learn both excerpts for Symphonic Wind Ensemble audition. For Jazz Ensemble Auditions, go to the Jazz Audition page
