Thirteen courses (39 graduate credit hours) are required for the MPA degree. Students complete the program by first taking the beginning core courses, then taking specialization courses. As students complete their concentration courses, they complete the ending core courses.

*Note: PA 8596, Techniques and Topics in Nonprofi t Management, may be taken twice for credit (3 credits each time) if the content of the two semesters is different.
Other courses from other fields of study where nonprofit organizations are active may be included for elective credits. Examples include health specialization courses, courses in fine arts administration, museum studies, and social work. Check with your advisor to determine if a class offered outside the department can be included in your degree program.
