From Hockey to Haircuts

It was a close shave for the Maverick hockey team and coaches at Saturday's (February 7) hockey game against Western Michigan. The team and coaches had pledged to have their hair shaved if $30,000 could be raised for the Leap-for-a-Cure program. More than $34,000 was raised for the brain cancer awareness program. Following the game, players and coaches assembled on the team benches for a mass hair-cutting.
