More than 300 UNO students and students from Omaha North High School spent their fall break volunteering at two locations in Omaha and a third in Red Cloud, Nebraska. The work in Omaha focused on the Viking Ship community center at 25th & Redick Streets and the Social Settlement Center at 48th & Q Streets. Paint brushes, hammers, saws, brooms and rakes were put to the test at all locations by the students. In Red Cloud, 26 UNO students painted the home of Willa Cather and the Red Cloud Opera House.
