Sather Honored by Kids Can Community Center

Paul Sather, director of the UNO Service-Learning Academy, received the Kids Can Community Center 'Can Do!' award May 6 in downtown Omaha. Honorary event chair Wally Weitz, right, presented Sather with the award. Sather was instrumental in developing UNO's Service-Learning Academy, which coordinates community outreach and civic engagement activities in various classes at UNO. Under Sather's leadership, the academy has grown from seven classes, which the academy assisted, to 120 classes.
