Faculty, staff and students who stop by the Cashiering/Student Accounts Office often receive assistance from Rosemary Conway, enrollment specialist II. Her ability to multitask in a busy environment while providing a high level of service makes her a favorite with co-workers across campus.

"Rosemary is always willing to go above and beyond to help a student with the problems they present," one individual wrote. "She builds a lasting rapport with many of the students she helps and has an effective and friendly manner with faculty and staff."

Each day presents varied challenges for Conway, who divides her time answering the phone, taking payments, answering questions from students and parents, and handling department deposits. She enjoys being able to assist students with their issues and finds it fulfilling to help them understand a multitude of topics.

"I enjoy helping others reach their goals by helping them find ways to stay in school and complete their degrees, if possible," she said.

Colleagues say they also value Conway's ability to multitask in the hectic office environment.

"She performs many tasks and, due to the reduced staff, has taken on an increased workload," another person said. "Rosemary has learned to manage time and workload to meet the needs of the office, which, due to the extra workload, can be very challenging. However, she handles it with ease."

Conway has been a member of the campus community for six years, working all that time in Cashiering/Student Accounts. She previously held a position in the business sector but became interested in expanding her talents elsewhere.

"I wanted to get out of banking, saw the job opening, applied and have been here since," she said. "I have always loved math and a challenge, and I get to do what I love."

Being named Employee of the Month is a special honor for Conway, as she appreciates the recognition for her efforts.

"It is nice to know that someone does see that you work hard," she said. "I enjoy helping co-workers when they are busy and I am caught up on what I need to do. I feel like I really do make a difference here."

In her spare time, Conway is an avid reader. She also enjoys spending time with her children.
