Welcome Center Renovation Under Way

Work has begun on the former annex building south of UNO's Durham Science Center. The former Hayden House–which had housed the Goodrich Program and Gerontology–is being turned into UNO's new Welcome Center, where Student Recruitment and Orientation will be located. An elevator and internal staircase are being added as a crew installs a new roof. Inside the building, new heating and air conditioning will be installed. The ground floor of the structure will be preserved as much as possible. The anticipated opening for the Welcome Center is mid-summer.
