Successful Women's Walk

Saturday's (April 18) rain forced more than 700 walkers into the UNO Sapp Fieldhouse, but it didn't dampen their fund-raising spirits. The walkers raised more than $270,000 for women's athletic scholarships at the 2009 Diet Pepsi/UNO Women's Walk. The money raised exceeded the goal set at the beginning of the campaign. Since its start in 1986, the walk has raised more than $3.75 million for women's athletic scholarships.
