Student Employee of the Year Kudos

Kara Wentworth, a part-time student employee in the Department of Art and Art History, received the 2009 Student Employee of the Year Award on April 13 at a ceremony in the Milo Bail Student Center Ballroom.

Wentworth received a $100 check from the UNO Alumni Association for her efforts involved with running the UNO Art Gallery. A nominator said, "It is hard for me to imagine that anyone would be more qualified and deserving of this award. The quality of her work has been consistently exceptional. Kara has performed the job of a full-time professional art gallery director and performed the job in an exceptional manner."

Additionally, Wentworth was chosen by the Midwest Association of Student Employment Administrators (MASEA) as the Student Employee of the Year for the state of Nebraska. She received a $75 check from MASEA for her achievement.
