Becky Scronce, staff secretary II with the School of Health, Physical Education and Recreation (HPER), will get the job done, regardless of its size or difficulty. Co-workers say her diligence and resourcefulness add to her efficiency.
"Rebecca is integral to the success of our department," a co-worker wrote. "She goes above and beyond to help everyone she works with and always does a high-quality job."
In November of 2004, Scronce joined the university community as a temporary employee and was hired as a full-time worker in 2005. Key tasks include assisting HPER students and faculty, and helping with computer-related issues and special projects.
Being recognized as an Employee of the Month is very fulfilling for Scronce. She said she really likes working with faculty and students, and enjoys the acknowledgement of a job well done.
"It really shows that the people I work with really do appreciate what I do for them," she said.
