UNO alum Scott Davis, left, a UNO graduate from the College of Information Science and Technology, returned to campus Aug. 26 to teach a three-day session on geographic information systems, also known as GIS. The course, held at the University of Nebraska Peter Kiewit Institute, included software engineers from Omaha's Raytheon Company. Doug Martin, one of Raytheon's interns who attended the course is also a UNO student. IS&T faculty members Ken Dick and Peter Wolcott hope to expand upon Davis' course to further GIS curriculum development.
