Heterogenous Boolean network simulator tool
We consider a heterogeneous Boolean network consisting of several different ensembles of nodes obeying specific Boolean rules of interest. The dynamics of the network will be studied in terms of its underlying parameters. To this aim we generate an extensive simulation tool using Matlab, C, python and other suitable software tools. We generate phase transition diagrams by simulating the time evolution of the actual network and assessing its robustness to small perturbations. We assess the correctness of the network simulator by simulating a known signal transduction network whose dynamics have been studied before.
The student involved in this project will present the results during the Math Awareness Month symposium in April 2013.
