Library and Information Services Program

Summary

Central Community College, in cooperation with the Nebraska Library Commission and the University of Nebraska at Omaha, offers two options for those interested in Library Science: a certificate program in library and information services and an associate of arts degree that can be completed in as little as two years.

Coursework in the certificate program fulfills the requirements for the Nebraska Public Librarian certification offered by the Nebraska Library Commission.

The Associate of Arts degree prepares students to transfer to the University of Nebraska at Omaha undergraduate library science education programs to complete a baccalaureate degree if they choose.
