- What is happening
Join us at the Thompson Center on Monday, September 22, 2008 for an Implementing Evidence-Based Practices Workshop which will examine barriers associated with implementing Evidence-Based Practices (EBPs).
- What skills will I or my staff learn?
During this workshop participants will:
- Examine the gap that exists between the validation of a particular practice in a clinical context and the actual implementation of that practice;
- Discuss the real-life challenges faced by practitioners when implementing EBPs;
- Understand how an organization’s beliefs and attitudes can hinder or foster the implementation process; and
- Learn specific strategies that can be used to begin bridging the gap to effective implementation.
- Who should attend?
Anyone who has begun or is considering implementing EBPs into their practice.

- A summary of current research regarding EBPs
